About 1,792,719 candidates sat for the exams, while 34,120 candidates had their results withheld for examination malpractice. The joint Admission and Matriculation Board has declared the new date to release the 2019 jamb utme exam. In the meeting, they discussed how to release the results. Whether in batch or at once. So they all concluded that the results will be released at once to avoid any problem from candidates. Jamb said that any score you saw , that is your real result. The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has postponed the printing of UTME slip to Thursday April 4th, 2019. This was disclosed by the JAMB's Head of Media and Publicity Dr Fabian Benjamin in an interview with newsmen. Recall that the printing of the examination slips was initially scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 2. According to Benjamin, the postponement follows the suspension of 14 Computer-Based Tests centres due to irregluarities during the conduct of Mock UTME, including an incident where JAMB staff were attacked at one of its centres. He said in view of this, the board needed today and tomorrow to redistribute the candidates affected by these suspended centres who had planned to extort them, defraud and frustrate the system, to centres that are more suitable after which the printing of exam slip can begin on Thursday. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Friday warned candidates to adhere strictly to the registration procedure for the 2019 UTME to avoid creating issues for themselves. The Board’s Head, Media and Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin gave the warning in an interview in Lagos. The registration of candidates for the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) started nationwide yesterday in more than 700 accredited Computer Based Test (CBT) centres. According to Dr Fabian Benjamin, all candidates desirous of registering for the the examination therefore must ensure that he or she start of by sending their full names, (surname first) to the code provided by the board. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ( JAMB) has said that it is set to commence sale of the 2019 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) form for prospective candidates on January 10, 2019. The JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, who disclosed this at a meeting with Computer Based Test ( CBT) centre operators in Lagos, also said that about 50 centres had been sanctioned by the board for various infractions and unethical practices. He said: “Cyber cafes have been banned from registering candidates for the year 2019 examination over allegation of extortion. They were extorting and overcharging candidates, doing services that they do not have capacity to do. They keep on deceiving candidates and we have no way of tracking them because they are not registered. That’s why we banned them. “We know there will be uproar because these cyber cafes make illegitimate money from candidates but we cannot leave the students at their mercy, particularly when people will say it...

WAEC internal  registration   2019 May June registration has been scheduled to close by the West African Examinations Council on the 20th of February, 2019.

The federal government has approved a reduction in the cost of forms for final year secondary school and post-secondary school examinations. This reduction, first announced by President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on new media, Bashir Ahmad, was decided at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday. Vice President Yemi Osinbajo presided over the meeting in the absence of Mr Buhari who travelled on official assignment to Borno State. The cost of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) forms was reduced from N5,000 to N3,500 while the cost of National Examination Council (NECO) forms was reduced from N11,350 to N9,850. The cost of Basic Education Certificate, also handled by NECO, was also reduced from N5,500 to N4,000.
